Administration
Some of Nomain's capabilities are reserved for tenant administrators, the people in your own organization who manage who has access and how your Systems are built. This section covers what those capabilities are and how to use them.
"Admin" means your organization's administrator
Everything here is about administering your own tenant inside the Nomain web app. It is not about any Nomain-staff tooling. An administrator is simply a user in your organization who has been given the Admin role.
The two roles
Nomain has exactly two roles:
| Role | Can do |
|---|---|
| Member | Use Nomain to browse, explore and chat with Systems. |
| Admin | Everything a Member can do, plus manage users, configure single sign-on, run and schedule analysis, add sources, upload documents, and archive Systems. |
Admins see extra controls throughout the app: the Users entry in the sidebar, the Single Sign-On card on the Account screen, and a System's analysis controls and Document management tab. These controls are also enforced on the server, not just hidden in the interface.
What administrators manage
- User management: invite people, change roles, and remove access.
- Single sign-on (SSO): let your team sign in with your corporate identity provider, which you can set up yourself with no support ticket.
- Running system analysis: build and refresh a System's model, schedule automatic re-analysis, and follow progress.
- Document management: attach your own documentation (Markdown, PDF, Word) to a System.
